Cover franked with 1861, 1¢ blue + 10¢ yellow green, pair paying the 21¢ French mail rate via England, partial red "Philadelphia, Paid, Oct 20" cds and manuscript "18" credit to France, reverse with "France Par Mouscron" transit and receiving backstamps, Very Fine, a rare usage to Belgium by French Mail.

Pkt, May 9" cds and additional integral "6" rate cds struck over indicating double 3¢ for unpaid letter (weighing between ¼-½ oz.), red Calais cds and letter apparently accepted in Paris (under 7½ grams) as full prepaid with insufficient handstamp crossed-out, Very Fine, ex R. Vogel.
