1857, 1¢ blue, type IIIa, Relief "B" double transfer. Plate 11, rich color, tied by "Boston, Ms., Paid, Apr 13, 1861" cds on folded prices current sheet to Toronto, Canada, matching "1ct" handstamp alongside; stamp with a some toned perfs at top, otherwise Very Fine.

1857, 1¢ blue, type IV, triple transfer, one inverted. Position 81L1, left stamp in pair with single at right (others 81 & 82L1) on cover to Albany, N.Y., all tied by two strikes of "Palmyra, N.Y., Dec 9" cds; pair with pre-printing paper fold, right stamp with small sealed tear at lower right, otherwise Very Fine, a rare and attractive usage of the 1¢ Blue, Type IV Triple Transfer Variety on Cover; with 2011 P.F. certificate.

1857, 1¢ blue, type IV. Nicely centered, tied by Syracuse, N.Y. circular postmark on unsealed cover to Skaneateles, N.Y., with original circular enclosure; stamp with couple tiny margin flaws at bottom, otherwise Very Fine, a very scarce on cover usage; with 2003 P.S.E. certificate.

1857, 1¢ blue, type V, vertical strip of three. Straddle-pane margin at right showing full guideline, tied by three strikes of blue "Petaluma Cal. Dec. 31" cds on yellow cover to Jacksonville Cal. with blue illustrated Four-Horse Stagecoach design and "The Star of the Union - California" imprint; cover with arithmetic notations and minor toning on stamps, otherwise Very Fine, an extremely rare intra-California usage of a stagecoach envelope.
