1845-O $2.50 Liberty. PCGS graded AU-50. The 1845-O, from a minuscule mintage of 4,000 pieces, is extremely scarce in circulated grades and a major rarity in Mint State. A wonderful example of this scarce coin of which only 80 to 100 examples are known to exist. (PCGS Pop. 2 in AU-50, only 13 graded higher, the highest grade being a single MS-63 example. Total of 41 in all grades, 9/26/11).
