Mexico, Tampico District Covers, four covers; Puerto de Matamoros (YB TM40 - red), 25 December 1843, 4r rate in blue, complete docketed letter to Mexico City, Puerto de Matamoros (YB TM44), 13 September 1841, official docketed wrapper to the Director of Tabaccos in San Luis Potosi, Puerto de Matamoros (YB TM47 and Schatzkes 735A), 28 August 1853, 3r rate,earliest recorded use of this Schatzkes mark, recorded as first used as s/n during the Maximilian period - 13 years later, Soto la Marina (YB TM75 + Schatzkes 1603A), undated envelope to Jimenez, eagle adminisration cachet not in YB, with additional (Puebla)/Ciudad de Matamoros (YB PU140), 1 November 1854, complete letter, this is Matamoros Izucar of district Puebla - lotted with Puerto Matamoros for contrast, 1r rate., F.-V.F.

Mexico, (Tampico) Tamaulipas, 8 covers; two 1831 folded letters with red two line postmarks (Yag-Bash TM5) with "3" rate handstamps, one to "Hon A, Butler, Charge a'affairs U.S.A., at the city of Mexico" with "pr Zempoalteca" notation, others 1836-52 with boxed date stamp (TM6) in colors black, red and blue showing a variety of rates, Very Fine.
