Charleston, S.C., Honour's City Express, 1849, 2¢ black on yellow, cut to shape, manuscript canceled and affixed by red wafer seal with sealing impression "tying" stamp on fresh 1850 folded letter sheet to New York City, red "Charleston, S.C., 10, Jun 26" integral rate cds and matching straight line "Paid" handstamp; stamp with small tear, F.-V.F. and attractive, a lovely example of this great on cover rarity, with only four examples known of the 1849, 2¢ Honour's stamp on yellow paper of which only three are known on cover, ex Ferrary, Golden; with 1999 P.F. certificate.

Glen Haven Daily Mail, 1854-58, 1¢ black on dark green, margins clear to just slightly in, affixed to small ladies cover to Varna, N.Y., in combination with 1851, 3¢ dull red, type II tied by neat "Homer, N.Y., Feb 13" cds, Extremely Fine, one of finest examples of the Glen Haven Daily Mail Black on Dark Green stamp on cover mail from Homer, N.Y., an extremely rare usage with only six on cover usages known, illustrated in Patton, Scott cat. $6,250 for uncanceled on cover with #26; with 1995 P.F. certificate.

Jones' City Express, 1845, 2¢ black on pink, margins large to just into frameline at lower right, bright and fresh, uncanceled as usual on locally address cover, straight line "Paid" handstamp, Extremely Fine, quite certainly one of the finest examples of the Jones' City Express stamp on cover, with only ten full covers known, ex Caspary; signed G. Sloane, E. Perry, with 1999 P.F. certificate.

Messenkope's Union Square Post Office, 1849 (1¢) black on green, clear to large margins, some glaze cracking, tied by manuscript cancel slightly scuffing stamp, on cover to Baltimore, Md. in combination with large margin 1847, 5¢ red brown tied by red square grid cancel, matching "New - York, Feb 20" cds, Very Fine, a rare combination and even more so with the Messenkope's stamp tied as these stamp are normally found not tied to cover.
