California County Balance, of approximately 100 covers and cards; various counties represented including Kern with 1880 Havilah, Siskiyou with early Downieville, Stanaslas with 1883 Ceres and 1887 Salida, 1885 Turlock T&C, San Mateo with 1870's Half Moon Bay, etc., includes some interesting ephemera; condition varies, generally F.-V.F.

California County Postal History Collection, housed in a dozen cover albums; mostly 20th century Imperial county which include some real-photo postcards and matchbook covers, including scarce 1910 Bard manuscript, 1913 Bernice (earliest per Williams), rare 1917 Calexico, Military Sta. (Pershing Expedition into Mexico after Pancho Villa), 1910 Imperial Junction manuscript postmark, rare Picacho Beach and Potholes, also some Bakersfield including corner cards and Marin postcards including early real photo, some other better including 19th century, real photo train wrecks, small hoard of modern event covers, etc.; inspect (no photo).

California Cover Collection, approximately 75 covers and cards arranged in binder, mostly 19th century to early 20th century townmarks with a few incoming usages; postmarks include early 1870 Albion cds (MEN-20, 5-26-76 earliest listed), 1890 Bijou with fancy star killer (ELD-80, rarity 4), 1880 Bolinas, 1860 Marysville "Paid by Stamps" postmark with 10¢ to Iowa, 1879 Napa City "Stolen, A Bay Mare, Harness and Buggy" postal card, 1884 Newhall, 1856 Red Bluffs manuscript on 10¢ entire, 1870's Angel Island, 1888 Point Reyes with fancy star duplex, 1870-80's San Quentin (2 different), selection of 16 San Rafael covers and card showing various postmarks and killers, 1860 Tomales, early Sonoma stampless, St. Louis on 10¢ Nesbitt entire, early Yankee Jim manuscript with manuscript "Paid 6", 1858 Yreka on 10¢ Nesbitt, etc.; condition varies with clear townmarks the rule, F.-V.F. overall.

California Covers, 1850-1930's, group of 22 covers; includes 1856 Iowa City with "Paid 10" in circle handstamp, Michigan Bluff on 10¢ Nesbitt entire, Napa City to Philadelphia franked with #68, used range of later; condition varies, generally F.-V.F. or better.

California Machine Cancel Collection, well formed assembly of over 350 covers and card arranged in 9 binders; includes Doremus Cancels including 1911 Bakersfield "Kern Branch" slogan (KER-590) and the very rare Bakersfield Pan-Pacific Expo slogan (KER-610) on card, Columbia Machine Cancels with a good representation of towns and types including better Panama California Expo slogans from San Bernadino and Santa Rosa and many others, Flag Cancel Section well formed with cancels from Avalon (B14), Berkeley Pan-Pac Expo types, Los Angeles Pan-Pac Expo slogans including good University Station, early 1896 San Francisco flags and stations, 1926 Sawtelle Brentwood Heights Sta. slogan, 1933 South Gate Home Gardens station slogan, etc. (no photo).

Denver with original enclosure, better includes #15 from Petaluma, #65 from Red Dog, #68 from Taylorsville, U16 from Todds Valley, #68 from Quincy, etc., some faults, Fine group.

California Town Balance, of approximately 60 covers; various counties represented including Nevada with 1891 French Corral registered and 1857 Nevada City on 10¢ Nesbitt, Sacramento including early Sacramento City with 1850 integral "40" rate (SAC-2490), later "40" and "80" rate handstamps in red, etc., Sierra with Gibsonville cds on 1855, 10¢ Nesbitt, Stanislaus with 1889 Knight's Ferry, Yuba with 1862 Camptonville and 1860's Strawberry Valley stampless; condition varies, F.-V.F. overall.
