1861, 1¢ Blue, four singles and a pair, all tied by Washington D.C. circular datestamps on legal-size patriotic cover with reverse showing all-over design titled "Camp near Fort Ethan Allen, 118th Regt. N.Y. Vols., Col Samuel J. Richards, Commdg.", addressed to Captain A. Torrance in Hoboken N.J. and endorsed "Boat Princess", minor edge flaws, F.-V.F., a rare design.

1861, 1¢ Blue, four singles, used with 1861, 3¢ rose, pair, cancelled by matching grids on cover buff cover to Sweetsborough, Canada East, "Fort Snelling Minn. Jan 30" cds, red "U. States 10 Paid" circular h.s., reduced slightly at right with some edge wear, stamp flaws, Fine, a scarce Fort use to Canada.

1861, 3¢ Pink, Two Singles, rich bright color, tied by blue "Baltimore, Md., Oct 27" cds on double rate cover with red and blue Liberty & Flag patriotic design with "Onward" slogan, verse below and "Rooms of the Union Relief Association" corner card at left, addressed to Webster, Mass., Very Fine and choice, a beautiful and rare multiple usage the the 1861 3¢ pink on a patriotic cover, ex Moody; with 1982 P.F. certificate, signed L. Brookman on reverse.

Aug 22" double-circle datestamp on cover with multicolor artistic address to Lawrence Mass., original letter datelined "Fort Scott, Virginia, August 22nd 1 oclock A.M." with some interesting content "The order is: 'Forward March' and of course we are preparing…It looks as though the 14th has laid still long enough and they ought to be in advance", Very Fine.

York Am. Pkt, 6 Paid, Jun 14" exchange cds and blue straight line "America uber Bremen, Franco" handstamp; 5¢ stamp with tiny perf creases, otherwise Very Fine; with 2012 P.F. certificate.

1862, 24¢ Red Lilac, rich color, couple shorter perfs, tied by blue "Chicago Ill. Nov 25 1862" duplex on cover to Borrowash, England, Chicago red "3/Cents" credit handstamp to Britain, carried by Allan Line Anglo-Saxon from Quebec Nov. 29 to Londonderry arriving Dec. 10, Derby (12.12) arrival backstamp; Very Fine, ex-Littauer.

From Chicago this cover was carried on the Michigan Central Railroad to Detroit and Canadian Grand Trunk Railroad to Quebec, where it went on board the Allan Line steamer.

York Brem Pk 'Paid' Nov 21" exchange backstamp, blue "America/uber Bremen/Franco" three-line handstamp, script "Franco ultra" handstamp, various manuscript ratings and transit backstamps including partial Florence arrival cds; vertical file fold affects 24¢, otherwise Very Fine.
