1851, 1¢ Blue, Type II, position 66L3, o.g., very lightly hinged, ample to mostly large margins, bold color and very fresh, Extremely Fine and choice, a truly wonderful and rare gem original gum 1851 1¢ from plate three, without a doubt one of finest mint examples in existence; with 2009 P.F. Graded certificate (XF 90).

1851, 1¢ Blue, Type II, position 31L2, socked-on-the-nose Newport, R.I. town cancel, enormous margins all around encompassing portions of adjacent stamps at top and bottom, rich bold color, a Superb gem, a tremendous jumbo margin single; with 1988 P.F. certificate & 2011 P.S.E. Graded certificate (Superb 98, SMQ $1,850), plated and signed Ashbrook.
