1908, 2¢ Carmine, Imperf, Vertical Coil, top margin strip of 5 with plate number & star, o.g., top stamp hinged, others never hinged, fourth stamp in strip showing Foreign Entry of 1¢ (position 37), fresh with rich color, Very Fine, a choice example of this rare foreign entry transfer variety as off centered examples are the rule rather than the exception; with 2012 P.S.A.G. certificate.

During the production of 2¢ Franklin plate 5299, the 1¢ Franklin die transfer roll was used by mistake. The error was caught and corrected by burnishing the 1¢ entry, but traces of hairs from the head and the "One Cent" transfers still remained on the plate.
