British Guiana, 1850, Local Typeset Issue, 8¢ Black on Green, manuscript "E.D.W." (E.D. Wight, Clerk Colonial Department of Post Office) initials, cut-to-shape, affixed by wafer to small piece and tied by light town cancellation, Extremely Fine and choice, an excellent example of the rare 1850 8¢ Cottonreel issue; signed Em. Diena & Bloch, with 1968 Friedl certificate. Scott No. 4.

British Guiana, 1852, Waterlow Litho Issue, 1¢ Black on Magenta, neat "Demerara, Ju 22, 1855" town cancel, full to large margins, bright with completely unrubbed surface with normally plaques this delicate issue, Extremely Fine, a wonderfully choice example of the 1852 1¢ Waterlow issue; with 1995 Holcombe certificate stating "A superb and most unusual unrubbed stamp". Scott No. 6 $6,750.
