France, Collection, 1849-1970, bulging Scott Specialty album, containing exceptionally strong used classic items, from Cérès & Napoleon Empire & Republique designs, including some very rare examples such as #87 1c black on Prussian blue signed "Bloch"; 5fr Napoleon III with "Monaco" cancel; cancels abound with many towns, cancel types, imperf & perf plate varieties, proofs essays, specimens; good souvenir sheets with postmarks such as 1925 Paris Expo; 1927 Strasbourg Expo; 1929 Le Havre Expo; interesting railway post office cancels (87); seemingly quite complete precancels; semipostals appear complete including 1917-19 War Orphans + overprints etc; airmails complete from 1930; good Postage Dues; airmail semi-officials; back-of-the-book including outstanding Alsace-Lorraine with over 70 town cancels; close inspection highly recommended for accurate evaluation.

France, Collection, 1849-1900, virtually all used mounted on album pages; starting with first issues including 1fr shades, 1852 issues and 1853-60 issues to a large 4-margin 1fr, later issues near complete to complete including 1869 5fr and mint 1871 10c on 10c surcharge, back-of-the-book with near complete postage dues as well as offices with better including China 1903 15c due (#J9, cat $1,250), Morocco with 1893 5c (Sc. 9, cat $1,200) and Zanzibar with 1894 10a on 5fr high value (#16, act $525) and 1897 surcharges including Sc. #29-31 (cat. $2,290) and following Provisional surcharges #34-35 (cat. $1,300 & $4,000); a nice collection worth careful evaluation.
