Amador County Covers, group of approximately 40 covers and cards; mostly 19th century, includes 1884 Pine Grove with wheel-of-fortune killer, 1890 Plymouth illustrated lodge cover and 1997 cog cds with star duplex, 1893 Sutter Creek, 1860-90's Volcano postmarks, 1882 Amador City, 1884 Forest Home manuscript and 1889 cds (1st Day), Ione Valley on 1860, 10¢ entire to east coast, 1858 Jackson stampless, etc., condition varies, F.-V.F.

California 40¢ Rate Covers, group of five covers comprising San Francisco to Portland Me via New York with "Steam/Ship" and circled "40" handstamps; Sacramento oval postmark and red crayon "40" rating on cover to Sheshan N.Y.; San Francisco to Vincennes Ind. with "40" h.s., St. Louis Mo. with ms. "40" rate to San Jose Cal.; and cover from Pacific coast with "Pr Mail Stmr Oregon" to Newburgh N.Y. entering the mails with New Orleans cds and "Steam/40" rating h.s.; some faults, F.-V.F.

Humboldt County Covers, group of approximately 100 covers and cards; virtually all 19th century, includes an array of Eureka postmarks including 1891 registered cds (Williams listing example), two different Rohnerville T&C postmarks, early Orick cds's, Orleans with illustrated corner cards and registered, earliest Phillipsville and Rio Dell cds's, nice selection of Ferndale postmarks, superb strike of earliest Scotia cds, 1888 Upper Matele, scarce manuscript postmarks including 1883 Yager, 1883 Phillipsville, 1869 Petrolia, 1894 Iaqua, etc., condition varies, F.-V.F. overall, a wonderful assembly of scarce postmarks.
