Historical and Interesting People Collection, two binders containing letters and covers, some better items include 1756 Cornwallis free frank cover front, 1810 ALS from Lord Wellington, 1850 letter from Alexander W. Doniphan who was the hero of Sante Fe and the Battle of Sacramento Pass, couple Edmun Gibson Ross (senator from KS) free frank covers, Lt. Gen. P. H. Sheridan free frank, official patent office cover to Eli Whitney, etc., some faults, Fine and interesting.

Inauguration Day Covers, 1953-1981, selection of 58 items, from Eisenhower's 1st Inauguration to Reagan's 1981, best perhaps is Ike 1953 on Artcraft unaddressed with Armed Forces issues combination, other Artcraft & Fleetwood u/a, other addressed, 14 total 1953 & 1957; also Kennedy, Nixon with duplication, Carter, Reagan, etc; clean lot, many unaddressed, please inspect.

Lot 1923    

Naval Cover Collection Balance, 1909-50, of over 2,500 covers with usages starting the the classic period (majority from 1930-39), no censor wartime covers but a nice group of later 1945-46 covers with branch number cancels and numerous smaller ships which were decommissioned shortly after the war, less than 100 are from 1947-50, majority without cachets but many with attractive and interesting ones, generally clean fresh material with very few showing any significant toning; a wonderful balance for collector or dealer, well worth examination.
Estimate    $1,000 - 1,500.
