Civil War Patriotics and Related From the District of Columbia, collection of 53 covers of mostly Patriotic designs including a few with original camp enclosures, 5 from Tennallytown and 8 from Georgetown, rest are Washington D.C. covers and most are free franked by Members of Congress, includes some non-patriotic Congressional free franks or related, better includes Tenth Legion 56th Regiment N.Y.S.V. design showing C.H. Van Wyck, General McClellan portrait design, Col. Phelps' Regiment design showing portrait, Second Regiment N.H. Volunteers, Old General dog caricature design (L915), "The Soldier's Dream of Home" all-over design Camp Blair multicolor lettersheet with Constitution patriotic envelope, "Our Compromise, 6th Regt., Penna., Col. Barnes" crossed-cannons design, etc., some mixed quality, F.-V.F., An excellent collection of District of Columbia patriotic free franks and related Civil War covers.

Winfield Scott Cover and Document Balance, of 9 items; includes folded letter sheet addressed to Scott as the commanding the U.S. Army in Florida, from Major McIntyre, 1850 warrant signed by Scott, 5 used patriotic covers including two embossed designs, portrait design including one label usage and two unused patriotics; few flaws, F.-V.F. overall.
