Confederacy, 1864 Adversity Covers To Clarendon S.C., two adversity covers made from blue railroad shipping forms, one with blue "Petersburg Va. Jun 23" cds and matching "10" rating handstamp, other with Army of Northern Va. field due "10" circled handstamp in blue, covers endorsed from J. A. Smith, QM Sergt of the 25th S.C. Vol., Hagood's Brig; later field use probably used at Petersburg in late 1864 during the siege; each opened for display; small faults, F.-V.F.

Nov 2 1862" cds and additional manuscript "Due 5" rating on yellow adversity cover made from unused "Southern Mutual Life Insurance Company, Columbia, S.C." envelope, addressed to Greenville Ala.; upper left opened for display and hinged in place; stain spot, F.-V.F., ex-Gordon Bleuler.

Apr. 8" cds on adversity cover made from preprinted "Rate of Fare" at the Concord Hotel form, military address to Lieut. N. Partee Foard, 1st N.C. Cavalry, Hanover Junction Va. and in "Care of Capt. Barringer, 1st N.C. Cavalry", Very Fine, ex-Gordon Bleuler.

Confederacy, 1862, 5¢ Blue, Archer & Daly Printing, horizontal pair, four margins, coarse printing, tied by the "Mobile, Ala Mar 18" double-circle cds on adversity cover made from a printed Mobile Shipping Form displayed with the left lower corner flapped over, addressed to Mr. T. C. Heidelburg, Claiborne Jasper Co., Miss; Backflap opening tears and just a little light foxing, but still a Very Fine appearance., still Very Fine.
