1853 Crystal Palace "The Industry of All Nations", illustrated design with additional steamer and eagle & shield vignettes and Felt & Hosford imprint on reverse, on cover to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., franked with 1851, 3¢ dull red (tiny tear) tied by bold "Brooklyn, N.Y., May 24" cds; cover with a couple small edge tears, Very Fine, a wonderful 1853 New York Exhibition design, ex-Grunin.

1853 Crystal Palace "The Industry of All Nations", illustrated view design with caption in banner, on cover to Paris, Me., franked with 1851, 3¢ dull red (large margins including parts of next stamps at top & bottom) tied by light cds which appears to be Columbia, S.C.; cover with hint of soiling in bottom right corner, Very Fine and choice, very rare, with only three examples recorded by Bomar in collector's hands.

1853 Crystal Palace, "New - York, Jul 19, 1853", year date postmark tying 1851, 3¢ dull red on cover to Newark, O.; some cover edge creasing, F.-V.F., this postmark is thought to have been used in conjunction with the Crystal Palace Exhibition, however there is no evidence to support this, in any case this is a very scarce marking which is known used from July 11 to July 25, 1853.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

1853 Crystal Palace, "New - York, Jul 22, 1853", full bold strike of rare year date postmark tying 1851, 3¢ dull red (four close to ample margins) on cover to Berlin, Conn, with stamp affixed over another 3¢ stamp, Extremely Fine, this postmark is thought to have been used in conjunction with the Crystal Palace Exhibition, however there is no evidence to support this, in any case this is a very scarce marking which is known used from July 11 to July 25, 1853.; with 1985 P.F. certificate.

1876 Centennial Exposition, with hand applied embossed corner card showing "Memorial Hall", on 3¢ green entire, cancelled with "Centennial Phila'a, Jul 3" cds, with cork duplex circle of wedges killer, to Lewistown, Pa., small sealed tear at top right, most unusual, attractive Very Fine appearance.

1876 Centennial Exposition, Philadelphia Pa., large illustrated exposition cover showing Centennial Art Building and lists the N.J. State Commission, bearing 1¢ banknote, corner flaw, tied by cork cancel prepaying third class circular rate, addressed to Heightstown N.J., flap unsealed; Very Fine and rare design.

1881 Milwaukee Industrial Exposition, all-over ad design on cover bearing two 2¢ vermilion (178) singles tied by two strikes of target cancels duplexed with "Milwaukee Wis. Jan 6" cds, locally addressed; small edge tears and small bit of flap missing; F.-V.F., a scarce expo design.

1884 Industrial & Cotton Centennial Exposition (New Orleans La.), all-over ad on reverse of 2¢ entire bearing 1882, 1¢ blue and 1883, 2¢ red brown tied by "New Orleans La. Jul 2 1884" duplex to Zurich, Switzerland, Zurich (7.19) arrival backstamp, Very Fine.

Jan 8" (Bomar N85-01), clear strike of duplex ties 1883, 2¢ red brown on illustrated expo ad cover showing buildings, addressed to Poughkeepsie N.Y., choice strike of purple "Forwarded from Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Post Office" oval handstamp to Poughquag N.Y.; reduced a bit at right and small tear, F.-V.F., This is the earlist known use of this marking.
