1879, 5¢ blue, plate proof on India, three used singles, each canceled by "New York G" station oval registry handstamps, vibrant colors, some typical flaws, Very Fine and rare, There are two known pieces with 183P3 and 185P3 canceled by the same New York Station G ovals. These must have originated from the same correspondence.

Graded certificate for a Scott 188 (VF-XF 85J, SMQ $4,250 for a Scott 187).
