1923, 10¢ orange, imperf, horizontal pair, without gum as issued, full even margins showing portion of guideline at right edge, rich vibrant color, Very Fine and choice, a rare pair unmarked by blue pencils marks; with 2011 P.F. certificate, Ward handstamp.

Only two panes of this imperforate where issued. Both panes contained large areas of blue pencil marks, defaced by inspector's. It is estimated that only 40 to 50 unmarked pairs exist.

1923, 2¢ carmine, rotary coil waste, o.g., never hinged, wonderful centering amid huge well balanced margins, rich color and pristine freshness, an Extremely Fine to Superb jumbo, the only never hinged example to receive this lofty grade with only two higher; with 2011 P.S.E. Graded certificate (XF-Sup 95J, SMQ $2,200 for 95 and $6,900 for 98).
