1801-1849 Transatlantic Mail Collection, group of 26 covers mounted on pages including 1801 Philadelphia to North Britain with Liverpool Ship Letter oval, 1809 prepaid Falmouth packet letter from Leeds to Boston, 1817 Nashville to Ireland with "Belfast Ship Letter" framed h.s., 1841 Aug. 28th London to New York, 1843 June 16th London to Boston endorsed "Great Western" and carried to New York with July 1st arrival cds; 1846 June 1st from Paris to Philadelphia carried by Caledonia, five covers from the Black correspondence Ireland to Rushville Oh. including two that are forwarded locally and one 1849 restored rate use, 1848 Ireland retaliatory rate use to Cincinnati Oh., etc.; some faults, F.-V.F. collection.

"Steam 10", Memphis Ten. and Norfolk Va. each with "Steam" h.s. canceling 3¢ #11, New Orleans "Steam" canceling #26 with "Due 2 Cts" h.s., Fall River Ms. with "Steam" canceling #65, Alexandria "Steamboat" with #65 and "Due 2" h.s., various Baltimore "Steamboat" h.s. and due markings franked with #65 (two), #114 and #220, etc.; some faults, F.-V.F., a wonderful collection with many scarce and better items.

19th Century Postal History Assortment, group of mostly better interesting covers with adhesives, also some stationary and postal cards, three nice Scott #24 covers, New York straight line cancel on "FREE" franked stampless, a couple Columbian stationary items (one with Scott #232 on 2 cent, and another with #223 on 5 cent, Boston registered to Halifax, Nova Scotia), 3 cent (pink?) with paid cancel, U.S. Postal Card assessment notice for gold and silver, various better cancels, and a 1911 Aerial Special Dispatch postcard to Bavaria, also worthwhile group of 1930s ship covers and early FDC's including 1939 baseball with scarce Abner Doubleday cachet and more, careful inspection required Gen F-VF.
