Advance, Cal., Feb 21 1891 (Tulare), unrecorded cds postmark in Williams, here used with Kaweah manuscript (also unrecorded) overwrite 2 months after close of Advance P.O., on 2¢ green entire, reduced at right and slight soiling, Fine, one of the rarest Tulare covers.

Agua Fria, Cal., Jun 9 (Mariposa), manuscript postmark (MAR-10) on cover to Augusta, Me., franked with manuscript canceled 1851, 3¢ dull red, horizontal pair; some light cover wrinkling, Very Fine, with three to four manuscript postmark known from Agua Fria.

(Calaveras), light strike of blue three line postmark (Williams CAL-60) on folded letter to Stockton, Cal., franked with 1851 3¢ dull red cancelled by matching circle of V's, datelined "Carson Hill 1854", letter reattached internally to outer lettersheet, F.-V.F., only a handful of these exist, illustrated in Simpson, ex-Vogel, Oakley & Myerson.

Auburn, Cal., August 25 (Placer), ca. 1852 manuscript postmark (PLA-230, R5) on cover to Fairfield, Ct., matching "10" rate; few cover spots, otherwise Very Fine, only three manuscript cancels recorded.

Bodie, Calif, July 13 - 1932 (Mono), manuscript provisional postmark (MON-330) on cover to Pasadena, Cal., tying 2¢ carmine with uncanceled 1¢ green alongside, Very Fine, The 1932 manuscript came about due to a large fire in Bodie that burned down the post office. It was used for only a month and a half until a new postmark arrived.
