Placerville, Cal., Apr 6 (El Dorado), full red cds (ELD-2920) with matching straight line "Paid" and "40" rate handstamps on cover to Columbia, Missouri, Very Fine, an extremely scarce California "40" rate usage from Placerville, ex Pearce, Walske & Thomas.

Sent on the P.M.S.C. - Panama departing San Francisco on April 15th and arriving in Panama on May 2st, then by U.S.M.S.C. - El Dorado departing Chagres May 7th and arriving in New York on May 17th.
