Panama, 1888, Registration, 10c black on gray, blue "348" handstamp, used with 10c black on yellow, stone 2, tied by "Panama, 15 Ene 1890" duplex on cover to Paris, France, New York (1.25) transit backstamp and New York registry exchange label affixed, some docketing and receipt handstamp; edge faults, F.-V.F., one of only a few known usages of the first Panama registry label.
Scott No. Panama F1 + 11    Estimate $300 - 400.

This cover was noted by Helme as the only known 10c straw stone 2 cover, which is from the second delivery.

17 almost identical Luria covers from Panama March 26-27 to Hamburg have been recorded. The lowest number is "2771" and the highest is "3529".

On April 14th 1902, postal rates were double. The stock of the provisional registration stamps was surcharged with a "20" over each 10c.
