Freeman & Co.'s California, Atlantic States and European Express, boxed printed frank (FRM-006) on uncanceled 3¢ Nesbitt entire addressed to Victoria, Vancouver Island; most of backflap missing, Very Fine, a rare example of this Freeman & Co. express frank, with only ten examples recorded in Thomas.

Gregory's Atlantic and Pacific Express, four-line "Forwarded By Thompson & Hitchcock, 149 Pearl St., N.Y." handstamp and two matching strikes of oval "Paid" handstamps on blue 1851 folded letter datelined "New York September 23d 1851" to San Francisco with steamer "Illinois" endorsement at lower left, 1851 docketing at left and additional strike of four-line handstamp, Very Fine.

Gregory's, Atlantic and Pacific Express, One Montgomery & Merchant Street, San Francisco, nice strike of five-line handstamp (GRE-125) on cover to New York City, carried outside the mails with matching "Not Paid" oval handstamp and manuscript "double 6/-" rate and reverse with "rec. 75¢ Postage" docketing, Very Fine, one of the better examples of six known.

Gregory; cover missing most of bottom flap, F.-V.F., one of two known examples of this free carry handstamp.
