Luxembourg, 1853, Grand Duke William III, 10c greenish black, Vertical Strip of Three, four ample to mostly very large margins, deep rich color and sharp impressions, tied by two neat strikes of nine-bar rimless grid cancels on 1854 folded cover to London, matching "Luxembourg 29 Juil 1854" cds, endorsed "Via Ostende", reverse with red "Luxembourg, Par Arlon, 20 Juil" and "Ambulant Ouest No. 1, 21 Juil 1854" cds, red crayon "france, Ostende" at bottom left indicating paid to Ostende, partial red London (7.22) backstamp arrival backstamp and manuscript "8" pence due rating, small tape stain at top center not affecting the strip, otherwise Very Fine and scarce use to Great Britain, ex-Houser. Luxembourg, 1854, Grand Duke William III, 10c intense black, horizontal strip of seven, huge margin at top showing parts of adjacent stamps, right large to just clear and others just touching or slightly in, neatly cancelled by four neat strikes of distinctive three-ring with center dot cancel of Grevenmacher, Fine and rare used multiple of this size, ex-Del Puente, Houser. Luxembourg, 1853, Grand Duke William III, 1sg brown red, Horizontal Pair, full to mostly large margins all around, strong rich color, neatly tied by nine-bar rimless grid cancel on light blue folded cover to Germany, matching "Luxembourg 12 Aout 57" cds and "PD" framed handstamp, reverse with Trier (8.12) cds and framed Neunkirchen (8.13) backstamps; pair with couple of faint gum toning specks, still a Very Fine and scarce use, ex-Del Puente, Houser.
