Robson Lowe Local Post Forgery Collection, comprehensive collection of more than 3,400 stamps meticulously annotated and assembled by Robson Lowe on "ex Robson Lowe" pages; a host of scarce forgery issues and other issues in multiple formats which are rarely seen, includes Adams City 2¢ work in turn reprint sheets and scarce forgeries, rare Allens imperf forgeries, scarce Bentley's forgeries including gold overlay Taylor issue, seldom encountered Berford forgeries (over a dozen), Bloods starting with striding messenger forgery types, Bouton with the rare black on green glazed "proof" with "Paid" handstamp, Bouton including bogus issues, Bowery bogus, strong section of Boyds including scarce sheets, scarce Bronson & Forbes forgeries, Cornwells with various setting sheets by Wood, comprehensive Essex forgeries and original, etc.; includes some genuine issues including #26L2 used (cat $400), 36L1, 35L1 (3), 38L1 (cat $800), 8L2 (4), 60L2 (used, cat $300) and the rare 65L1 (cat $1,250); an wonderful extensive assembly of these issues which would be nearly impossible to duplicate today, worth inspection to any specialist in the field of U.S. locals.
