Mexico, Forgery Reference Collection, extensive array of material housed in two binders and additional early crude pages, initial collection formed by Karl Schimmer with additional material added, ex Schimmer material with approximately a dozen covers and a couple hundreds stamps on and off piece on pages in binder; includes 1856-61 Hidalgo issues including many on cover / piece bisect usages, 1867 Mexico overprints, Guadalajara provisional including genuine with fake cancels, 1864 Eagles with fake issues and cancels, 1866 Maximilian issues including false district overprints, some 1868 Hidalgos, some later issues and other provisionals, added material including a dozen covers, mostly forged bisects and early as well as later issues forgeries, various full sheets Spiro Bros creations, etc.; a wonderful assembly and excellent basis for a first rate reference collection.
