Guadalajara, 1867, 4r black on rose, half used as 2r, tied by C. Guzman circular handstamp (Schatzkes 342) on 1867 folded letter to Guadalajara, Very Fine and attractive, a very difficult bisect, with less than 10 known; with 1981 & 2011 MEPSI certificates.

Guadalajara, 1867, 4r black on white, tied by fancy wreath postmark with matching Guadalajara oval date stamp above (Schatzkes 298 & 295) on folded letter to Zapotlan, very early date February 5, 1867, Very Fine, probably less than 5 covers exist with this stamp; with 2002 MEPSI certificate.

Guadalajara, 1868, 2r black on lilac laid batonne, large to huge margins, tied by Tecolotlan oval handstamp (Schatzkes 401) on folded letter to Japala; horizontal file fold affecting stamp, F.-V.F. appearance, from this tiny town, very few exist; with 1999 MEPSI certificate.

Guadalajara, 1867, 1r black on green laid, watermark paper, two stamps, one with "1863" error and is probably unique with both the error and the watermark; both stamps have thins, otherwise Very Fine, Scott $1,500 (without counting the "1863"error); "1868" stamp with 2003 MEPSI certificate.

Guadalajara, 1868, 1r black on green laid, "nu" instead of "un", two singles, slightly into at sides, tied together by fancy scroll handstamp (Schatzkes 300) on 1868 folded letter from Guadalajara to Mexico City; cover file folds, otherwise Very Fine, probably 5-10 singles exist and only 3 covers recorded; with 1997 MEPSI certificate.

Guadalajara, 1867 Provisional Stamp Group, collection of 57 stamps including 21 different Scott #s and with 11 MEPSI certs., included are several from the rare first period, the best being a #2 and a #9, these stamps are very rarely offered, and seldom in this quantity, neatly classified by Scott catalog, a great beginning in this scarce area of Mexico classic, Scott $1,900+ (no photo).

Guadalajara, 1867 Provisional Cover Group, collection of 11 genuine covers in great condition with 8 Mepsi certs, include Sc# 5, 6, 13, 43, 48, several very early usages (February 1867), wreath cancels, very clean Ciudad Guzman cancels, Sayula, etc. (no photo).
