Alta Express Company, Sacramento, oval handstamp (ALT-003) on 1853, 3¢ Nesbitt entire to San Francisco, with the very rare "Alta Express Co./Paid" blue colored printed frank at upper left (ALT-100) handstamp on cover to San Francisco; missing small portion of backflap, Very Fine, only Two Recorded Examples of This Very Rare Alta Express Blue Frank Type Are Known of which this is the only one with an Alta handstamp applied to the cover, collectors still do not have an answer as to why several expresses started printing franks in a blue color all around the same time.
Estimate    $2,000 - 3,000.
