(Peace) Nation Shall Not Lift Up Sword Against Nation, Neither Shall They Learn War Any More, all-over illustrated Valentine design with flags altered (American version), on cover bearing 3¢ dull red (11A), four margins, cancelled by three manuscript strokes, matching manuscript "Temple, N.H. / Oct 2" postmark at top left, addressed to Randolph N.Y.; some edge wear, Very Fine and choice.

AN ATTRACTIVE EXAMPLE OF THIS VALENTINE PEACE DESIGN.

Soon after the British design appeared in the U.S., a new design was being sold in America. Here, the British flag was transferred to the right of the standing figure and an American flag was substituted for the original British one to the left of the figure.
