(Plate Numbers) 1¢ Blue, bottom Imprint and Plate No. 10 strip of three, each stamp canceled with manuscript pen squiggles on light buff cover to Philadelphia Pa., matching manuscript "Bryant Ill., June 24/63" postmark at bottom left; minor extra gum and ms. affects strip, some edge wear, still Very Fine.

(Plate Numbers) 1¢ Blue, bottom margin plate "No. 22" imprint single, Harrisburg Pa. precancel used on orange wrapper at the newspaper rate to Minorsville, PA, original enclosed Daily Legislative Record, No. 40, For the Session of 1862 newspaper, manuscript "Dougherty HR" House of Representative member notation; some wrapper faults, F.-V.F.

(Plate Numbers) 1¢ Blue, bottom selvage single with partial plate no. 9 and imprint, deep shade, tied by "U.S. Penny Mail, May 16, Phila. Pa." octagonal carrier datestamp (Skinner-Eno PM-CR 6) on cover addressed to local street address, Very Fine and choice use.

There is no Dot-in-U on this stamp, which is common for stamps from Plate 9. Chip Gliedman had estimated no more than six plate numbers are known used on cover, of which there are four different offered in this sale.
