A CHOICE STRIKE OF THIS EXCEEDINGLY RARE POSTMARK.

This hotel postmark was the first device used at Yosemite.

(Mariposa) Yosemite Valley / Yosemite, Cal., group of 16 covers and cards, includes 1881 Yosemite Valley cds on cover with illustrated Leidig's Yosemite Valley Hotel ad on reverse, faults, another 1881 Yosemite Valley cds on cover with Barnard's Yosemite Falls Hotel on reverse, two Yosemite Valley, 1881 cds strikes in blue and black on cover, 1886 Yosemite purple duplex on cover, some later 1900s covers and cards including two real photo post card views, F.-V.F.
