(Maui) Kahului, Maui, Jan 23, 1900, blue cds (255.01) tying 1899, 2¢ rose, "flying goose" flaw on cover to Honolulu, receiving postmark on reverse; stamp with some toned perfs, Very Fine, a rare Kahului townmark with a recorded usage for less than one month.
Scott No. 81    Estimate $400 - 600.

On Gregory's Post Office in Paradise website, this postmark is given a tentative "scarcity 2". However given the date range of less than a month on known postmarks, we believe this postmark should be much scarcer than the listed rating.

(Maui) Kaupo, June 2, manuscript town and date postmark (803, 1RRRR) on 1864, 2¢ rose vermilion, with additional target handstamp cancel, an extremely rare Kaupo manuscript cancel and unlisted with dateline.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.

On Gregory's "Post Office in Paradise" website, the Kaupo manuscript postmark is listed (801 name only) and does not list the town and date manuscript (803, offered here) and the P.O. manuscript (802) postmarks.

(Maui) Kaupo P.O., bold manuscript postmark (802, 1RRRR) tying 1875, 2¢ brown on corner card cover to Makena, Maui, corner card crossed out in pencil, with original 1883 enclosures from Levy & Co. of Honolulu; light cover edge wear, otherwise Very Fine.

A RARE AND MOST LIKELY UNIQUE UNLISTED EXAMPLE OF THE "KAUPO P.O." MANUSCRIPT POSTMARK.

On Gregory's "Post Office in Paradise" website, the Kaupo manuscript postmark is listed (801 name only) and does not list the town and date manuscript (803) and the P.O. manuscript (802, offered here) postmarks.

(Maui) Makawao Post Office, Sep 4, origin cds (243.22, 1RR) on cover to Kohala, franked with 1875, 2¢ brown, horizontal pair tied by ring handstamp (ring1-25, 1R), Honolulu transit cds with matching target handstamps additionally tying, 1875 docketing on reverse, Very Fine, a rare Makawao postmark, with only thirteen strikes recorded.
