WITHOUT QUESTION ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES OF THE 1861 30¢ RE-ISSUE.

The 30¢ is one of the rarest of all the 1861 Re-issues and certainly one of the most difficult to obtain well centered. We know of only one other example that compares this exceptional example. This example sold in the Siegel 2001 Rarities sale for $23,000 hammer.
