Australia, 1860 Dumfermline, Scotland to Bathurst, N.S.W., cover franked with G.B. 6d lilac (S.G. 69) tied by "113" barred handstamp with origin cds alongside, redirected to Cowra with N.S.W. 2d blue tied by oval handstamp, appropriate transit backstamps; slight cover soiling and small part of backflap missing, F.-V.F.

Australia, 1865 Kingston, Victoria to Creswick, Victoria, cover franked with Victoria 2d violet, pair (S.G. 109, double perfs at right) tied by "224" barred circle handstamp, with "More To Pay" oval handstamp and manuscript "8d" due rating, reverse with "Kingston Ja 23, 65" origin, Melbourne transit and partial receiving postmarks; cover refolded at left and bottom, F.-V.F.

Australia, 1873 Whitehaven, England to Ballaarat, cover endorsed "via Brindisi" franked with G.B. 9d straw (S.G. 98) tied by duplex postmark paying single rate, matching "Deficient Postage" handstamp and manuscript "9d" and "2" at left indicating double rate, oval "More To Pay" handstamp and "1/3" rating, reiterated in red box at lower left; light cover edge wear, Very Fine.
Estimate    $400 - 600.

Australia, 1877 London, England to Melbourne, Victoria, consignee letter endorsed "Shippers Letter, pr British Commerce", handed over to the postal authorities in Melbourne and handstamped with boxed "Loose Ship Letter" and "2d To Pay" in oval; couple tone bands and tears at top, otherwise Very Fine, an early and limited use of both handstamps.
Estimate    $250 - 350.

Australia, 1887 Palermo, Italy to Sydney, New South Wales, 1881, 10c brown domestic postal card with Palermo origin cds at right and Sydney receiver below, blue crayon "T" and "10d" due rate handstamp for double the 5d international postal card rate, Very Fine, a previously unrecorded example of this 10d handstamp.

Australia, 1890 Buckingham, England to Redfern, N.S.W., cover franked with G.B. 2½d QV (S.G. 201) tied by duplex postmark, purple boxed "Deficient Postage - 1½, Fine 4d; 5½" and "Advertised, Unclaimed" handstamps, reverse with Redfern cds's and The Largest Remainders of the NSW Docket System to Have Survived, accompanied by the original G.B. Return Letter Office notice envelope when cover was returned, Very Fine.

Australia, 1890 Melbourne to Prahan, Victoria, 1d printed private order corner card entire canceled by "Melbourne, Oc 18, 90" duplex, redirected to Mittagong via NSW Traveling Post Office with bold "More To Pay 2d" oval handstamp, redirected again to Sydney where it received a green postage due docket on reverse and blue crayon "2d" and "461" docket number on front, Very Fine, a late usage official the NSW docket system as postage due issue replaced these dockets in January 1891.
Estimate    $500 - 750.

THE ONLY RECORDED DOCKET REMNANT ON GREEN PAPER - ALL OTHERS HAVE BEEN RECORDED ON YELLOW PAPER.

Australia, 1891 Foggia, Italy to Sydney, New South Wales, G.B. 1d entire franked with Italy 1879, 20c orange pair tied by Foggia postmark, manuscript "T" and "0.20" noted upon sending, straight line "More to Pay" and "4d" rate due handstamp for double the 2d deficiency; light cover edge wear, otherwise Very Fine, with less than five examples of this 4d rate handstamp are recorded.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

Australia, 1907 Leicester, England Round-The-World Via Sydney, New South Wales, oversized cover franked with G.B. 4½d QV issue tied by origin cds's to Sydney, readdressed to Nelson, British Columbia and franked with N.S.W. 1888, 4d brown + 1891, 3d green + 1899, 2½d dark blue diagonally bisected, 4d & 3d tied by "Registered, Sydney N.S.W., Ju 10, 07" cds, received in Nelson, B.C. with Canada 1906 5¢ Postage Due tied by Nelson postmark, readdressed again back to Leicester via New York with Canada 1898, 7¢ olive yellow + 2¢ Map + 1897, 2¢ Jubilee, London etiquette and appropriate transit backstamps; cover tear at top, still Very Fine for this.
