Postal Card (Wreck Mail) 1879, 2¢ blue on buff, group of three wreck mail usages comprising two from the Jan. 31, 1892 Eider wreck, first Philadelphia to London with purple English cachet "Saved from wreck of S.S. 'Eider.' " framed handstamp, and other New York to Austria with purple German cachet "Gehaben aus dem gescheiterten Schiff 'Eider' " framed handstamp; and last from the June 1897 St. Paul wreck, Jersey city N.J. to London with purple "Damaged By Immersion In Sea Water" framed handstamp, a Very Fine and rare exhibit page assemblage.
