Hawaii, Wells, Fargo & Co., No. 1 Collection, Honolulu Feb 27, 1869, yellow collection envelope with illustrated train and cars, to William Seton Ogden in Oregon City, received at the Wells, Fargo office in Oregon City where advertised & answering fee noted ""Advertized" 50 + ans 50 / 100" at top right, envelope returned to Honolulu with notation "Ogden says he will not pay and that it is outlawed"; small internal cover hole, Very Fine, a very rare Wells, Fargo & Co. collection envelope usage from Honolulu. The first Wells Fargo office in Honolulu closed in August of 1869.
