Samuel Mills Damon (1845-1924) was a banker and government official. In 1871 he entered the firm of Bishop & Co., 1889-90 he was Minister of Finance, 1893 he became Vice President of the Provisional Government of Hawaii, and became President of Bishop & Co., 1893-1887 Minister of Finance again, 1897 Minister of Foreign Affairs, 1898-1900 Minister of Finance yet again, and 1899-1900 Minister of the Interior.
