Banknote Covers, 1870-1888, approximately 64 covers; includes single 1¢ and 3¢ grills on separate covers; nine covers with 1¢ stamps of various, Scott numbers including 156 single tied by numeral 79 cancel of Mattapoisett MA; 4 covers franked with 2¢ red brown; 2 covers with 2¢ vermilion; five with 2¢ red brown; eight covers with 3¢ green including 1872 cover with two singles from NJ to London; 5¢ Taylor to Switzerland; defective 5¢ brown Garfield cover addressed to France; two covers with 6¢ singles including one to Mexico via Laredo; finally 1885 cover franked with 2¢ red brown and 10¢ yellow brown on registered cover with cogged "Silver … R.R.S" postmark; mixed condition with some faults.
