United States Local Post and Carrier Forgery Reference Collection, comprehensive collection arranged and identified on pages in five albums, with over 4,040 stamps; with a well formed section of carrier issues showing the various forgeries types, Hussey sheets and scarce items including Moen creation and Taylor metallic overprint, locals starting with Adams & Co. Express with a nice selection of scarce Taylor color papers, Berford & Co. with a scarce set of Casey's controversial forgeries, nice section of Blood's items including some good striding messenger emissions and later including a couple of genuine trial colors, Bouton's including multiples and sheet, Boyd's with a section of genuine, scarce Broadway types, Cheever & Towle with sheets, Clark & Co. with reprint sheets and a scarce Scott combination sheet (with Hinckley & Barr forgeries), nice showing of Cumming creations, Gordon's with many scarce forgeries, Kidder's with scarce Taylor papers, good section of Robison and Russell with scarce metallic color overprints and other types, Swarts with rare sheet (approximately 3 known) and scarce reprint colors present, Wells, Fargo & Co. ponies and some elusive Westtown, includes two volumes of bogus posts including Canadian fantasy creations, some genuine including #1LB8 (10 positions), 4LB21, 4L1P pane of 20 on card, 12L1 (signed reprint), 15L9, 15L11, 3 Richwoods, few covers and some ephemera; a wonderful collection and an excellent foundation for either continuation or incorporation in an existing collection, well worth careful examination.
