Mexico, 1868, 50c black on yellow, Puebla, cons 4-70, large margins, tied by sharp Puebla cds (Schatzkes 1165) on folded letter sheet to Villefranque, France, sent by French paquet with "Vera Cruz, Paq. Fr. B. No. 1, Mai 15" octagon transit date stamp, "10" decimes due handstamp and transit backstamp, Very Fine and choice.

Mexico, 1868, 50c black on yellow, Postal Forgery, San Luis Potosi, cons 5-71, tied by Mexico cds (Schatzkes 821) on 1872 folded letter to Bordeaux, France, via New York with British transit cds and "5" in circle handstamp, London backstamp and "G.B./3f60c" accountancy handstamp and "15" decimes due rate, Very Fine; with 2008 MEPSI certificate. Mexico, 1868, 50c black on yellow, no period after "50", Morelia, cons 10-70, previously used with portion of circular cancel at right, used on 1870 folded letter to Mexico tied by San Juan de Rio boxed date stamp (Schatzkes 1318) fraudulently used in the Queretaro district, Very Fine, an unusual accepted re-used stamp.

Mexico, 1868, 100c Hidalgo thick figures, trial color proofs, nine color proofs on thick wove; includes horizontal pair in brown and yellow green, singles in dark blue and green (small thins), three singles with "Veracruz," overprints, in blue, brown with "9-68" consignment numbers (MEPSI cert.) and in gray blue with perforations, later two with gum, a Very Fine group.
