St. Pierre et Miquelon to Granville, France, folded letter with embossed Victor Lefranlois, Negogiant, St. Pierre et Miquelon seal, carried by ship, entered mails with green "Queenstown / Ship Letter" two-line handstamp and matching "Queentown, JA 9 1856" cds, manuscript "8" pence uniform ship rating, London (1.31) backstamp and red "Colonies / Art-18" framed handstamp in error (should have been Art. 19), Calais (1.31) entry cds and manuscript "15" decimes, Granville (2.2) arrival backstamps; small flaws, some toning, Fine.

Sénégal, Airmail, 1942-44, "Par Avion / Batiment de Ligne / Richlelieu", black handstamp overprint on Senegal, Faidherbe Bridge, 25c black, sheet margin at left; slight abrasion, o.g., never hinged, otherwise Very Fine and exceptionally rare; with 2006 Sismondo certificate and signed. Yvert No. unlisted. Dallay No. 12.

This stamp was issued by the Military Post Office on board the ship "Richelieu".
