1857, 3¢ dull red, type IV, plate 10 reconstructions of early, intermediate and late states (Plate Reconstructions), total of 188 mostly used stamps from all three states of the plate, Early: 61 stamps, Intermediate: 69 stamps and Late: 58 stamps, some better positions present including double transfer with line through rosettes (pos. 61R10i, 61R10L, 98R10L), inner line recut at left (79L10L), etc.; some mixed condition as usual for plating studies, F.-V.F.

The four better positions noted in the description have been included in the catalog value, but other better varieties and positions (double transfers, damaged transfers, retouched, inner line recut at right, etc.) have not be taken into account. There are 22 pen cancelled examples that are valued accordingly.
