Devil with Pitchfork, clear strike duplexed with "West Meriden Conn., Jun 7" cds on 3¢ pink (U58) entire to Providence, R.I., blue "N.C. Stiles & Co., West Meriden, Conn. Presses and Dies." corner card handstamp, a Very Fine strike of this desirable fancy cancel. Skinner-Eno No. PH-F 40.
Estimate    $750 - 1,000.

It is quite possible that Stiles & Co. was the company that created the fancy Devil & Pitchfork postmark device for the postmaster of West Meriden.
