Tomichi, Colorado, Aug 1, 1881 (Chaffee), full sharp strike of cds on cover to Ohio, franked with 3¢ Banknote tied by matching target handstamp, Very Fine and choice.
Estimate    $300 - 400.

Originally known as Argenta, Tomichi (Indian for Hot Water) once had a population of 1,500 people but a snowslide in 1899 took the entire town away. Tomichi had prospered in the late 1880's but when the panic of 1893 hit, the town almost died.
