Oakland, Cal. (Alameda), collection in two binders which contains virtually all of the Oakland postmarks up until about 1935, a wide variety of usages are present including local and transcontinental usages, advertising, registered, Elks Street Fair, fancy West Oakland Station, mixed condition but generally Very Fine.

San Diego Town and County Balance, collection of approximately 95 covers and cards, emphasis on San Diego townmarks including early cds's including Civil War patriotic (stamp replaced ?), choice strike of the 1880's box postmark, section of over a dozen Wells, Fargo & Co. usages including allover shaded ad, later town usages including Cabrillio Celebration covers (two unused), scarce Barracks branch postmark (known used for a few months), nice section of 1935 exposition covers highlighted by a Jesse Owens signed cover.

Lot 2580    

San Francisco County Postal History Collection, 1850-1935, a wonderful collection housed in 5 albums all neatly arranged and identified by Williams numbers, the vast majority of the collection are San Francisco postmarks, however Alcatraz, Ocean View, Presidio, Steinbergers (manuscript postmark), etc. are present, included are incoming covers, Railway Post Offices, registered usages, advertising covers, Spanish-American war, etc., condition is mixed, but a great lot worth careful inspection, F.-V.F.
Estimate    $1,000 - 1,500.
