Falkland Islands, 1928, South Georgia Provisional, 2½d on 2d Purple Brown, neatly tied by "South Georgia, Fe 10, 28" cds (Barnes type SG2) on locally addressed corner cover to Leith Harbour; sealed cover opening tears at top, otherwise Very Fine, a scarce stamp on cover as it was only valid on South Georgia between February 7th to the 22nd of 1928, during this time only 1,179 stamps were issued; with 2009 S. Heijtz certificate. Scott No. 52.

Falkland Islands, 1929, Whale & Penguins, 2½d Blue, in combination with U.S. 1928, 5¢ Beacon airmail (Scott C11) on airmail cover to Hollywood, Cal., both tied by "South Shetlands, A, DE 16, 30" cds (Barnes SS.2 with "A" inverted) with second strike at center, "New York, N.Y., G.P.O., Feb 25, 1931" transit duplex on reverse, Very Fine, a rare Falkland Island - U.S. combination franking usage from South Shetlands. SG No. Z152.

The Falkland Island 2½d paid the surface letter rate to New York (There was no Falkland Islands air mail service or rate at this time.) while the U.S. 5¢ airmail stamp paid for airmail service to Hollywood from New York.
