Tallahassee, Floa., Decem 28, clear strike type V oval datestamp with type e "Paid" handstamp and manuscript "50" double rate on 1831 folded cover to Philadelphia, Very Fine, the earliest recorded type Ve combination, ex-Light.

Tallahassee, group of 9 covers type VII cds's comprising four 1843-44 in red (one with "Free", two with "Paid", 4th rated $1.75); 1850 in black with "Paid" & "10"; and four in green: 1847 with "10" & three 1849-50 with "5" and "Paid 5"; mixed condition, generally Fine.

"Talofa, 7 Sept", type I manuscript postmark with matching "5" rate on 1849 folded letter to Columbus, Ga.; Very Fine, one of only a handful of recorded covers from Talofa; the latest of three recorded type I postmarks from the statehood period, ex-Thompson.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

The Talofa post office was in existence only from April 9, 1841 until January 10, 1852.

Tampa Florida December 1841 "2d.", fine strike type II rimless cds with blue manuscript day "f" for "free" by postmaster on 1841 folded letter to the Adjutant General in Washington, D.C.; some fold splitting with reinforcement, Fine, this is the latest recorded example of this scarce postmark, ex-Light.
Estimate    $200 - 300.

The letter was from postmaster Augustus Steele acknowledging receipt of a package.

"Uchee Anna Fla, April 8th", type II manuscript postmark in blue with matching "10¢" rate on 1846 folded letter to New York City, F.-V.F., only about seven covers are recorded from Uchee Anna, this being the only example of the type II postmark in blue, ex-Light.
