1931, 2¢ Yorktown, specialized collection housed in eight albums/binders and six sheet files with singles, blocks, plate blocks and strips and sheets; includes a comprehensive plate numbers and positions section with hundreds of plate pairs, blocks and strips encompassing nearly all (if not all) numbers and combinations, in addition there are approximately 130 full sheets showing different plate number combinations (Scott cat $7,100+ alone), many designer/engraver signed items as well as a letter and notes regarding this issue, used multiples, shade study including #703a blocks, vignette shifts, cover section including better hand-painted FDC's and a full sheet used tied on cover with first day cancels and "Wethersfield, Conn. 150th Anniv. of the Surrender of Yorktown" red and green event cancels, other event covers, large album of collateral items, etc.; wonderful specialty collection and a truly ideal basis for further continuation.Scott No. 703 Estimate $2,500 - 3,500.
