South Africa, Boer War Collection, 1900-02, includes Boer Invasion of Cape Colony selection with covers from Aliwal North (2), Barkly East (2), Burghersdorp, Colesburg (4, one unstamped with manuscript "Commando Dienst") and Lady Grey (3), two with Post Telegrafen cachet addresses; loose adhesives/pieces (16 items) with datestamps of Aliwal North, Barkley East or Colesberg, British Forces Mail selection of covers (24) with several unstamped, two from members of Brabant's Horse, one from Natal Field Force, various F.P.O. cds for numbers including 3, 4, 9, 31, 48, 50 and 100 (from a member of the New Zealand forces), 1902 envelope registered from Pretoria to Durban with hooded registered datestamp, a copy of the last Dutch paper published in Pietersburg and the first and only English edition published the day after the British Occupation, etc., several covers from Kimberley (town besieged 12 October 1899 to 15 February 1900), one written two days after the disastrous Battle of Magersfontein and a nice section of Rustenburg (22 items); a nice group for the specialist.
