Damon & Co. Boston oval corner card handstamp, "St. John, N.B. / Ship Letter" two-line handstamp and large "6" pence due handstamp crossed out by wavy manuscript, Sept. 26th docketing at left; portion of address restored, Fine and scarce use with the St. John, N.B. Ship Letter handstamp.

Aug 24" cds on orange 1857 cover to France, magenta "Paid 21" rating noting prepayment, red "New York 'Paid 12' Sep 2" exchange cds, carried by Cunard Line Arabia from New York Sep. 2nd to Liverpool arriving Sep. 13th, Calais (9.14) entry cds, reverse with Paris (9.15) and Audincourt (9.16) arrival cds, Very Fine and early Michigan transatlantic use, ex-Born.

(4.30.67), St. John, N.B. (5.1), and Pictou (5.6) backstamps; slight erosion spot lower left, Very Fine.
